Making sure what’s confidential stays that way


Do you have your own office with a door?

More than half the admins we polled across the country said “no.”

There are times you need your privacy – so how do you get it when you’re sitting out in the open?

Here are some ideas you may not have considered from

Red means stop: Use red and green colored flags to keep at your desk. Red tells co-workers to stop – you need privacy. Green says you can talk.

Mirror, mirror: Is your back to the door? Put a small mirror on the wall so you can get a view of the door – and see who’s coming.

It’s a two-way street

Don’t eavesdrop: Privacy works both ways. Avoid conversations that don’t concern you.

Move it: Meet in conference rooms away from your desk.
